Welcome to the ninth issue of the process mining newsletter!

In this issue, Marco Montali, General Chair of ICPM 2022, introduces the upcoming edition of the conference. Stefanie Rinderle-Ma narrates her academic story, from the beginnings to her recent investigations in process mining and automation and the current appointment as a General Chair of BPM 2022. For our end-user’s corner, Marcus Brenscheidt, Co-founder and Director of Technology & Innovation at SEIA GmbH and member of the Advisory Board of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining, shares with us his view and thoughts on process mining. The Process-Oriented Data Science in Healthcare Alliance illustrates the contents of the new PM4H manifesto, just off-the-press and open access. Last but not least, we can get to know more about two brand new workshops in the process mining field: the workshop on Process Management in the AI era (PMAI@IJCAI), co-located with IJCAI 2022, and the workshop on Computational Intelligence for Process Mining (CI4PM), co-located with WCCI 2022.
