ICPM Fellows
ICPM Fellows is an initiative that grew out of the annual International Conference on Process Mining (ICPM).
ICPM has emerged as a unique conference venue where the leading event where process mining vendors, consultants, customers, end-users, and researchers come together to share insights, drive innovation, and explore new frontiers in the field, where
- Practitioners share specific Process Mining challenges they face in their daily practice,
 - Researchers develop foundational ideas to solve problems, and
 - Software vendors implement solutions at scale

Yet, collaborations between practitioners, researchers, and vendors do not come naturally for various reasons.
Mission
The mission of ICPM Fellows is to help the ICPM community to tackle real-world process mining challenges and accelerate innovation through joint action.
- Provide a platform to connect practitioners, researchers, and software vendors to work on specific challenges.
 - Organize events to (open and focused) to sound challenges, define problems, provide advice, find experts, and help kick-start bilateral and trilateral collaborations.
 - Share insights (challenges, practices) with the ICPM community.

More details are in the Information slide deck on ICPM Fellows.
Challenges and Opportunities for Collaborations
- 5 Practitioner Challenges on Object-Centric Process Mining gathered during the ICPM Fellows Online Event on 26-06-2025
- Challenge 1: Lack of Standardized OCED Modeling Procedure
 - Challenge 2: Time-Intensive OCED Model Building
 - Challenge 3: Modeling Object Reuse and Abstraction
 - Challenge 4: Analyzing Inter-Object Influence
 - Challenge 5: Governance and Data Sharing using OCED

 - More to come

Do you want to…
- … present your own challenge towards the ICPM community?
- Contact one of the ICPM Fellows or send an email to Dirk Fahland
 - We collect challenges and then discuss with you opportunities to present your challenge either in a community event such as ICPM or online, or to discuss it with experts.

 - … collaborate on one of the challenges?
- Contact the challenge owner directly - or reach out to one of the ICPM Fellows directly or send an email to Dirk Fahland and we will get you in touch with the challenge owner.
 - ICPM Fellows can provide guidance in working out challenges further (with the challenge owner and other interested researchers and vendors) and setting up bi-lateral and tri-lateral collaborations.
