Newsletter stream #14 (05/2024)

Editorial

Welcome to the fourteenth edition of the process mining newsletter!

In this issue, Claudio Di Ciccio and Andrea Marrella accompany us for a walk down memory lane with their personal considerations about ICPM 2023. We then move forward in time and North in space, driven by Andrey Rivkin, Andrea Burattin, and Ekkart Kindler, who introduce the upcoming ICPM 2024. Antonino Ielo recommends a new opportunity to propose research ideas at the crossroads of AI and process mining with the PMAI workshop, whose submission deadline was just extended. More territory to explore newland (and a deadline extension too!) is described by Silvia Miksch, Pnina Soffer, Barbara Weber and Claudio Di Ciccio in their article about process mining and visual analytics. Finally, Boudewijn van Dongen welcomes four new researchers to the Steering Committee of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining, thanking the members who step down for their invaluable service and help.
